According to two surveys held in March 2020, consumers of all ages were likely to spend more on music streaming services as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, with ** percent of Millennials saying that they believed they would do so, compared to **** percent of Boomers. Between the two surveys, the WHO declared COVID-19 to be a pandemic as more and more cases were reported around the globe, and as more individuals practise social distancing and self-isolate, online media sources will likely increase in appeal to those looking to occupy themselves whilst they stay at home.
