During the Christmas season, consumers in Germany often looked to online rather than physical stores for a variety of items on their Christmas list. For 2021's Christmas season, more than half of consumers said they preferred to purchase event tickets and consumer electronics via online channels rather than in physical retail stores. When it came to food and beverages, however, there was a clear preference for physical stores, as only about *** percent of respondents indicated preferring online shops for this category.
