Clubhouse in Russia - statistics & facts
The social audio platform Clubhouse quickly generated a wave of interest in Russia in the first months of 2021. In February of that year, the number of downloads reached over 772 thousand from iOS devices. The success was mainly attributed to the air of exclusivity and to the number of celebrities joining the community. However, in the spring of 2021, new downloads sharply declined, and even the fact that the app's version for Android devices was released in May 2021 did not improve its performance. Most users believed that the low content quality and the absent feeling of exclusiveness were behind a decline in the app's popularity.
