Coffee prices worldwide - statistics & facts
Due to inflation, the global coffee market is increasingly moving towards consuming coffee at home rather than buying it in a café. This was the finding of a survey conducted in early 2024 with participants from various countries. It is no surprise that this trend has developed because coffee prices are rising steadily: average unit prices for both instant and roasted coffee have increased continuously since 2020. Globally, the average coffee price in 2025 was just under 57 U.S. dollars per unit for roasted coffee and over 88 U.S. dollars per unit for instant coffee. Consumers are therefore trying to prepare more coffee at home and not buy it on the go from cafés, which would be even more expensive.
