During the 2024/25 period, global coffee imports amounted to a total of ***Â million 60-kilogram bags. In the same period, around *** million bags were exported worldwide. The forecast for the following market year implies another increase in import and export volumes.
Coffee export countries
In the 2024/25 market year, Brazil exported the highest volume of coffee worldwide. Vietnam and Colombia stood in second and third place, exporting over ** and ** million sacks, respectively. In terms of global coffee production, Brazil also led the list, producing over twice as much as Vietnam that year.Â
Brazilian green coffee
Brazil, which is known as one of the top coffee exporting countries worldwide, produced the highest volume of green coffee in Latin America by far in 2024/25. Arabica coffee is the key variant in Brazilian coffee farming, but local farmers also produce coffee of the Robusta variant.
