The phenomenon area PMK - religious ideology - newly defined from 2017 mainly includes crimes that were recorded up to and including 2016 in the phenomenon area of ​​politically motivated foreign crime (PMAK) under the main topic of "Islamism/Fundamentalism".

² The crimes recorded by the police in the respective reporting year are shown. They are therefore statistically recorded as soon as there is initial suspicion. The police crime statistics (PKS), on the other hand, are initial statistics. They show the crimes that were made known to the police in the respective reporting year and that were finally processed by them, including attempts that are punishable and drug offenses processed by customs. Statistical recording only takes place when the data is submitted to the public prosecutor's office.
