Data on the number of hate crimes recorded by the British Transport Police from 2019 to 2020, sorted by motivational factor, shows that in 2019/2020, the most hate crimes occurred with an involvement of racial discrimination, which amounted to approximately *** thousand cases. This was followed by hate crime cases which occurred due to one's sexual orientation. The fewest recorded crimes were those that occurred with an involvement of transgender lifestyle.
