Credit lines remained a popular source of financing for companies in Europe in 2020, but the preference for grants increased considerably. The source states that the use of grans grew to 24 percent in 2020, a figure that was only eight percent in 2019. Nevertheless, roughly one third of enterprises in Europe were financed through credit lines as of 2020. Leasing and bank loans financed around one fifth of the enterprises, respectively.
