In the first half of 2023, Biotherm was the leading skin care brand for men in Denmark. The French luxury skin care company owned by L'Oréal generated around *** million Danish kroner. The American brand Clinique ranked second, with a revenue of roughly *** million Danish kroner. In the same order, both brands also led the ranking for women’s skin care brands that period. The revenues of all skin care brands, however, were significantly higher for women’s products than for men’s products. Biotherm made over **** million Danish kroner by selling products for women, followed by around **** million Danish kroner generated by Clinique.

 Sales growth of women’s skin care brands 

In the first half of 2022, Biotherm showed an increase in sales of approximately **** percent compared to the same period one year before. On the other hand, sales of Clinique women’s skin care products decreased by ** percent. Meanwhile, when compared to the previous year, Elizabeth Arden had the highest sales growth, amounting to about ** percent.

Beauty treatment and skin care industry 

From 2018 to 2019, the beauty treatment industry’s revenue in Denmark fluctuated. Overall, it grew from *** million Danish kroner in the first quarter of 2018 to *** million Danish kroner in the last quarter of 2019.
