The respondents were represented as follows: 51% men and 49% women; 56% of the total respondents were in the 35-59 age category. Moreover, 58% of them held a higher education diploma (3+ years). A large proportion of respondents were living in the Italian regions of Lazio (35%), Lombardy (14%) and Emilia-Romagna (11%).

This statistic presents the results of a survey conducted in Italy between February and March 2017, whose aim was to find out consumers' self-reported knowledge of banking and financial products. As of the survey period, more than half of respondents (** percent) declared not to be very well-informed in terms of financial products and/ or services. Other ** percent of them considered to be fairly well-informed, whereas only percent of the interviewed people claimed to be very well-informed.
