In 2023, around *** out of five employees in Italy had a part-time contract. This share slightly decreased compared to the previous years, but it consistently grew compared to 2010. In fact, before the 2011 Euro crisis, only *** out of seven workers were part-time employees. However, the share continuously grew since 2012, signaling the difficulties of the Italian labor market in coping with the financial crisis.
