According to a study conducted in 2019, 37.3 percent of 13 to 20 year old females in the top grossing films of 2018 were shown in what is described as 'sexy attire', compared to 25.2 percent of women aged between 40 and 64 years old. Older women were also less likely to be referenced as being attractive.
