This statistic has been taken from the GfK report 'How People Use Primetime TV 2015'. The graph shows the leading locations for watching primetime TV programming outside of own home in the United States as of May 2015. During a GfK survey, 49 percent of respondents stated they watched primetime TV programming at a friend's home, while 12 percent said they did the same at work. Home video is a promising market in the U.S., as Americans prefer watching primetime TV, if not at their own home, at a friend's home or a relative's home. Watching movies at home, for instance, is the preferred way of consuming them in the U.S.
