Public broadcaster NPO 1 remained the most viewed television channel in the Netherlands in 2023, with a daily audience reach of **** percent. The other public channels, NPO 2 and NPO 3, reached **** percent and **** percent of the daily audience, respectively. 

Daily audience reach and age groups

 TV’s daily audience reach differed considerably between age groups. In 2023, the highest audience reach was reached among the retirees, amounting to over ** percent. By comparison, television reached a daily audience reach of only ** percent among consumers aged 13 to 19 years.

Audience market share public television 

Between 2022 and 2023, the audience market share of public broadcasters in the Netherlands decreased, amounting to 34.4 percent as of 2023. Regional broadcasters were markedly less popular than their national counterparts though. In 2020, they had an audience market share of just *** percent.
