As at end September 2025, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the United Kingdom had a total overdraft amount of about 7.95 million pound sterling (GBP). The overdraft stock of SMEs saw a significant decrease between March and April 2025, and between April to September 2025, the stock of SME overdrafts was at its lowest since August 2023.Â
