Credit transfers, or wire transfers, are a method of electronic funds transfer from one entity or person to another (such as for ex. bank transfers, which rely on a secure system messages (such as SWIFT) from the sending bank to the receiving bank).

This statistic presents the average number of per capita amount of credit transfers made in the euro area from 2009 to 2019. The average number of credit transfers per capita reached approximately 65 per capita in 2019, which constituted an increase from 2014. Overall during this time period the number of credit transfers per capita increased.
