The e-commerce share in the Russian retail has been increasing year-over-year as a result of a positive online trade development in the country. Online sales accounted for ** percent of all retail sales in 2025.Â

The coronavirus pandemic boosted online sales in Russia in the first quarter of 2020, and the positive trend was expected to be maintained, as evidenced by aforementioned forecasts. The most noteworthy online sales growth was recorded for grocery and household products during the lockdown phase in the country, which was recorded at its highest over the third week of March.
