A May 2023 report analyzed the main reasons for buying art among art professionals and collectors worldwide. According to the study, ** percent of surveyed art professionals stated that their clients purchased art for collecting purposes but with an investment view. Meanwhile, roughly ** percent of art collectors said the same. Overall, just **** percent of art professionals and **** percent of art collectors involved in the study mentioned that purchasing art was solely for investment purposes.
