According to an annual study focusing on the purchase behavior of art buyers worldwide, paintings were the most common fine art medium bought online as of January 2022. Overall, ** percent of surveyed buyers stated to have purchased paintings online as of that month. Meanwhile, ** percent of the survey sample claimed to have acquired new media art via online channels as of January 2022, while only ** percent did the same in 2020.
