U.S. art dealers taking part in online vs. in-person art fairs 2019-2021
According to a June 2021 study, the share of U.S. art dealers joining in-person art fairs decreased significantly during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020 over the previous year. Overall, roughly *** in *** respondents visited in-person events in 2020, while ** percent of the survey sample took part in online art fairs that year. That being said, in-person participation was expected to bounce back to ** percent in 2021, with online attendance decreasing to ** percent.
