Reserves include gas condensate and natural gas liquids (NGLs) as well as crude oil.
North America had crude oil reserves of roughly ** billion metric tons in 2020. Of which, ** percent were Canada's oil reserves, including that of its oil sands deposits. The United States has one of the world's larges oil shale reserves.
