In the Indian electoral system, a reserved constituency is one in which only candidates from socially disadvantaged groups, specifically the Scheduled Castes (SCs) and the Scheduled Tribes (STs), are allowed to contest elections. However, all eligible voters, irrespective of their caste or tribe, can vote in that constituency.
