Adults in France by age who considered suicide, 2010-2021.
This statistic presents the evolution of suicidal thoughts reported by French adults aged between 18 and 85 years from 2010 to 2021, according to their age group. The 18-24 age group experienced a sharp increase in suicidal thoughts starting in 2014. After a decline in the reporting of these thoughts in 2020, three age groups—the 25-34, 35-44, and, to a lesser extent, the 55-64 age groups—saw their suicidal thoughts rise again in 2021.
