This chart compares the number of weekly emergency room visits for suicide attempts in France among adolescents aged 11 to 17 in 2019 and 2021. From the beginning of January 2021, the number of emergency visits for suicide attempts was higher than what was observed during the pre-pandemic period. In November 2021 (week 45 ), the number of weekly emergency visits for suicide attempts among adolescents was almost twice as high as in 2019.
