This statistic reports the results of the first wave of the Cosame survey, which aimed to study mental disorders (anxiety, depression, stress, distress, and suicidal thoughts) among students in France during the first lockdown of 2020.
Nearly one in two students (43 percent) reported at least one of these disorders. The most reported disorders are anxiety and depression, which affected 16 percent of students during the lockdown. More than 1 percent of students reported having suicidal thoughts during the first lockdown.
