3/ Civil and military state officials

4/ Special schemes: National Assembly, Bank of France, CANSSM, Cavimac, CNIEG, Comédie française, CRPCEN, CRRFOM, Énim, FSPOEIE, Paris Opera, RATP, Risp, Saspa, Seita, Senate, and SNCF

This statistic represents the distribution of retirement benefit expenditures by category of schemes in France in 2023. It is observed that retired civil servants accounted for approximately 16 percent of the total retirees. Retirees from special schemes, which include former employees of the RATP, SNCF, or the electricity or gas industry, accounted for 5 percent of all retirees.
