This survey questions French people who are considering replacing their diesel or gasoline vehicle (car, utility vehicle, motorcycle, or scooter) with an electric vehicle about their motivations in 2024. The main reason was the desire to emit less greenhouse gas. Electric cars emit on average half as much over their life cycle as combustion engine cars.
