The number of electric vehicles in traffic use in Finland grew significantly over the past decade. In 2023, there were roughly ** plug-in hybrid electric cars and nearly * battery-electric cars registered in the country. From 2015 onwards, the number of plug-in hybrid electric cars saw a considerable increase, while the number of all-electric passenger cars grew somewhat slower.
