The survey is weighted by gender, race, ethnicity, political affiliation, level of education, and other factors to be representative of the adult population in the United States.

According to a survey conducted in the United States in August 2024, news influencers used various social media platforms to mention Donald Trump or Kamala Harris during the election season. The majority of these posts鈥79 percent鈥攁ppeared on X (formerly known as Twitter), followed by YouTube and Instagram, which accounted for just eight percent and six percent, respectively. This distribution highlights that no other platform besides X hosted more than ten percent of news influencer posts about either candidate.
