EU parents supporting parental approval to download apps 2024, by child age
According to a survey conducted in 2024, 35 percent of Spanish parents considered that children under the age of 18 should get approval from parents before downloading mobile apps. A further 54 percent of respondents from the region supported parents' permission to download apps for children aged under 16. While the share of German parents favoring such a limit for children aged 16 and younger was 66 percent. Overall, parents with kids aged under 16 were more supportive of parental approval.
