According to a January 2025 survey, livestreams of massively multiplayer online (MMO) games were watched the most, as 45 percent of adults in the United States watched them often. Horror game livestreams followed, as 44 percent of users watched them frequently, and 49 percent reported to be an occasional viewer. Around half of the gamers from the region stated to watch livestreams from action and fighting game genres sometimes.
