A survey in January 2025 showed that across all generations in the United States, at least ** percent of respondents said that they were not eating on premises at restaurants as much as they would like. This sentiment was the strongest among Generation X adults, with almost ** percent saying so. Comparatively, fewer respondents felt this way about purchasing takeout/delivery, however, ** percent of Gen X still said they wanted to do this more often.
