A person covered under the Social Security Act is an employee over the age of 15 and less than 60 who contributes to receiving benefits.  A person who reaches the age of sixty and has been employed by the employer under this Act will be considered an insured.
Under the Social Security Scheme, there are three types of insured individuals, as follows:Â
Compulsory insured person under Article 33
Voluntary insured person under Article 39
Informal Workers (voluntary insured person) under Article 40
