While indie game buyers and traditional video game buyers mostly had the same gaming aspect priorities, a 2023 survey found that there were a few differences between the two groups. Overall, ** percent of responding indie gamers named innovation and uniqueness as one of their top three priorities when gaming, while only ** percent of traditional game buyers felt the same. However, ** percent of traditional game buyers highlighted graphics and art as one of their top priorities, and only ** percent of indie game purchasers did similarly.
