In a 2024 survey, around 37 percent of women aged 18 to 49 in the United States reported being very concerned that they or someone close to them would not be able to get an abortion if it was needed to preserve their life or health. In total, 63 percent of the women surveyed were at least somewhat concerned about not being able to get an abortion if it was needed to preserve their life or health.
