Before the overturning of Roe v Wade in 2022, there were 63 clinics that provided abortions in states that had total bans on abortion as of March 2024. The number of brick-and-mortar abortion clinics in states without total bans on abortion actually increased from 2020 to March 2024. As of March 2024, there were around 765 brick-and-mortar clinics that provided abortions in states without total bans on the procedure.Â
