In 2023, Mali ranked first by prevalence of anemia among pregnant women among the 20 countries presented in the ranking. Mali's prevalence of anemia among pregnant women amounted to 62.10 percent, while Benin and the Ivory Coast, the second and third countries, had records amounting to 60.20 percent and 57.30 percent, respectively.
