Survey question: "What are the key elements of a wedding?"
Among the respondents, 49.2 percent were married, 49.5 percent were unmarried, and 1.3 percent identified as others. Age distribution revealed that 22.3 percent were born after 2000, 31.3 percent between 1995 and 1999, 32.5 percent between 1990 and 1994, and 13.9 percent between 1985 and 1989. The gender split was 44.8 percent male and 55.2 percent female. In terms of residence, 29.4 percent lived in first-tier cities, 37.5 percent in second-tier cities, 25.3 percent in third- and fourth-tier cities, 5.7 percent in counties or towns, and 2.1 percent in rural areas.

According to a March 2024 survey conducted in China, more than half of the respondents identified venue arrangements, makeup artistry, and the wedding ceremony as the most important elements of a wedding. Other significant aspects included photography, bridal and groom attire, and the wedding venue.
