In 2025, there was a difference in the consumption of meat in Italy, varying according to meat type and region. For beef, Sicily was the region with the highest consumption with 69.9 percent of individuals consuming it once a week. On the opposite side of the spectrum was Trentino-South Tyrol, with 43.5 percent consuming it weekly. Regarding pork, 61.3 percent of individuals in Campania consumed it weekly, while for Trentino-South Tyrol the share was 34.9 percent.
