According to the data, the total monthly household consumption expenditure on vegetables (including tubers, plantains, bananas for cooking, and legumes) in Italy amounted to roughly 69.9 euros in 2024. This was slightly more compared to the expenditure recorded a year earlier, at  68.7 euros. In 2024, the category accounting for the highest monthly expenditure was meat, at  111.3 euros. This was also higher compared to 2023, when the monthly expenditure amounted to just under 110.7 euros.
