Telephone interviews and online survey
Original survey question: "You said that you would be at least somewhat likely to use low carbon fuel in your own vehicle if it cost the same as a gallon of traditional fuel. Which, if any, of the following factors contribute to your willingness to use low carbon fuel?"
Data for the original survey was collected mostly through web-based methods, and mostly in English, with 172 interviews being in Spanish. The values in this visualization represent a subset of the original survey. This subset represents respondents who defined themselves as "somewhat likely" or "very likely" to use low carbon fuel in their personal vehicles if the cost for a gallon of low carbon fuel was the same as the cost for a gallon of traditional fuel.Â
Data assigned confidence levels of 95 percent, with +/-1.37 percentage points as a margin of error.
Question is regarding fully electric vehicles, not utilizing other fuel sources.
Percentages will not add to 100 percent as each respondent could choose up to two choices. The choice "No particular reason, I just might as well use them" was exclusive.
