More than 90 percent of Italians believed that citizens must do their part in fighting corruption by reporting bribery episodes to the judicial authorities, and they affirmed that corruption is a serious risk for the whole society. Moreover, almost 80 percent of the respondents stated that the more bribery is widespread in the society, the more difficult it becomes to access good quality public services. On the contrary, only 20 percent declared that reporting corruption is worthless.
