Citation formats

France, Italy, and Spain were among the European countries with the highest number of construction enterprises in 2024. Most of the companies in every country included in the list were small companies with zero to nine people employed. Although Germany was the EU country with the highest construction turnover, it only ranked fifth in terms of number of enterprises in that industry. That means that France, Italy, Spain, and Poland had more construction companies even if they had a smaller industry.
