The figures have been taken from several publications.
*Figures shown for the year earlier, that is 2023 figures in the 2024 column and 2022 figures in the 2023 column. **Figures account for the revenue of that company and not the value of its total output.
Some of the companies are foreign, but the statistic only presents data for their German-based subsidiary. Data for Strabag also excludes data for its subsidiary Züblin.

Biggest construction companies in Germany 2023-2024, by by total output
Hochtief had the biggest total output of any German construction firm in 2024. At nearly billion euros, the value of work carried out by Hochtief was higher than that of the next four companies in the ranking combined. When it comes to construction, German companies do not play that big of a role within Europe: construction firms from France and Spain, for instance, dominated a Europe league table based on market cap.
