During the second half of 2023, Facebook received 35 requests from the Ukrainian government for user and account preservation. In the first half of 2022, the time period within which Russia's invasion of Ukraine began, user and account preservation requests peaked at 482. Meta preserves a snapshot of the relevant account information when they receive a preservation request, but they do not reveal any of the preserved documents unless and until they get formal and legitimate legal procedure.
