According to the survey conducted by in January 2024, tax rebates and subsidies and the proximity of charging stations to homes and workplaces were the leading factors motivating across markets in the Asia-Pacific region to purchase electric cars. Around ** percent of respondents in Indonesia said that tax rebates and subsidies on electric car purchases would motivate them to buy such vehicles, while approximately ** percent indicated they would be inclined to purchase electric cars if charging stations were available near their homes and workplaces.
