In a survey conducted from October to December 2024, in Asia, the leading reason for consumers in India to choose an electric vehicle as their next vehicle was concern for the environment, cited by about ** percent of respondents. In comparison, lower fuel cost was cited as the leading reason to choose electric vehicles by consumers in Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.
