Most of the valid energy performance certificates (EPC) for energy consumption of residential buildings in the France issued between July 2021 and January 2025 had a rating of C or D. Nevertheless, the distribution was slightly different for apartments and houses, showing that apartments tended to be on average somewhat more energy efficient than houses.
