The United Kingdom has set an offshore wind capacity target of 50 gigawatts by 2030. In 2024, the UK had a total offshore capacity of 15.9 gigawatts, the highest across all Europe. Germany expects to install at least 30 gigawatts of offshore wind by 2030 and reach 40 gigawatts by 2035.
