The Labour party of the United Kingdom has won three by-elections, and lost a fourth one in February 2024, taking three seats from the ruling Conservative party, but losing their seat in Rochdale to George Galloway's Worker's Party of Britain. In the previous year, the Conservatives lost four seats, three to Labour, and one to the Liberal Democrats. A by-election is an election for a seat in the House of Commons which takes place between general elections.
